Promoting the use of rapid e-authoring tools in small and micro businesses to bring effective e-learning to individuals working in them

Organisations come from France (CRP), Bulgaria (AEP), Poland (Multimedia City), Romania (IFES) and UK (MRS). The project is complete and the reports and guidelines are available below and to the right. Stage 2 has involved the production of guidelines for engagement with small and micro companies and the use of the Rapid e-authoring tools. The guidelines have been trialled in different countries.

This project has researched a number of Rapid Authoring Tools for use in and by Small and Micro companies. The finings can be found in a report Evaluation of Rapid Authoring Software conducted by the partnership.doc.
In addition it has produced guidelines for their use in small and micro companies. These can be accessed in a number of languages by clicking on the links to tbe right.

The guidelines have been divided into three parts. Part 1 is about engaging with small companies and has been prepared for the most part by Multimedia City, Poland.Part 2 is about establishing the learning needs of companies and has been prepared by MRS and Part 3 is about creating content by using the Rapid Authoring Tools and this has been created using a free piece of software by CRP, France. IFES,Romania, have been the reviewers of the materials created.

The Guidelines include references to establishing the learning styles of individual employees to ensure that the learning materials developed using Rapid Authoring Tools meet their prefered learning styles where possible.
There are a number of simple tools shown below to do this.

The latter tool besides analysing the learning style for the content developer also produces a simple graphic for the learner.
